Name: Uehara Himeko
Arcana: The Star
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Grade: second year
Persona-user or NPC?: Persona-user
Played By: Yazawa Niko from Love Live!
Starting Persona: Jack Frost
Even though Himeko and her Persona doesn't seem to have a lot in common at a first glance, by analyzing her personality it becomes clear why she has the potential to summon him out of all the creatures available.
Jack Frost is a very cheerful Persona, which is just like the person Himeko wants to be as an idol and which also represents the face she puts on in public.
However, since he is a snow elf he naturally brings cold weather and frost with him.
This is what represents Himeko's inner personality. She is pretty mature in reality and has this direct and critical character traits, which can come off as very cold/attacking towards others. Just as the abilities of her Persona are.
Combat Role: Physical attacker! Her weapon of choice is a Naginata.
Appearance: Himeko has an average height for a japanese girl her age. Aside from that, she is slightly slimmer than most of her classmates due to special training routines she had to do since she was little.
She is often wearing her black hair in pigtails/twintails, which is making her look a lot younger than she actually is. (Most of the time she is varying between low twintails, which are making her look a little less childish and her usual high ones. )
Her eyes are brown with a tinge of red in it, giving her a mysterious, in certain situations even slightly devlish appearance.
Himeko goes for a childish but cute look; represented not only in her hairstyle but also in her choice of clothes and accessories. Ribbons are a must-have. She would never pass on them no matter what she wears.
She does basically follow the school uniform regulations (she isn't wearing anything like a different cardigan or jacket etc.) but is wearing some petticoat and a lot of frills under her skirt to make it seem more puffy and give it a cuter touch. In addition to that is she not only wearing ribbons in her hair, but has put several types of them on her whole uniform as well.
She knows that her modifications are strictly against the rules but since she is very stubborn when it comes to her cute styling she refuses to change it...at least as long as she gets away with it. (Later on she would wear her uniform with just a few frills under her skirt and a small ribbon on the back, as well as her usual ribbons in her hair.)
Her everyday wear looks always well chosen and underlines her overall styling. She is mostly seen with pastel-coloured clothes.
She has a very cheerful attitude and is often seen laughing and in good spirits.
Personality: Even though being a very cheerful and friendly person, Himeko needs some time to accept someone new as a real friend. This has to do with previous situations, in which people only cared about her famous surname and not much about her as a person. She has a very direct personality and always says what she thinks, which can unintentionally hurt people around her sometimes.
Due to her somewhat cute appearance some boys at school following her around and idolizing her. But dispite the fact that she still really wants to become an idol someday, she hates this behavior because she feels like she hasn't done anything to earn anyone's recognition yet.
Aside from her rather childish appearance, she can act quite mature at times. She also isn't really the innocent, cute little girl she mostly pretends to be. Himeko is well aware of the impact her "cutesy act" has on some of the people around her and doesn't refrain from using it to her advantage when necessary. In reality, she is a very acute observer and knows a lot about her surroundings and other people she hasn't even talked with once. Additional to that, she is quite short-tempered and has a pretty good insight into human nature.
She also has some depressive episodes from time to time resulting in not fulfilling her biggest goal in life so far. They most likely vanish after a few minutes but during them she highly lacks self-confidence and wishes to just disappear.
Himeko loves extreme situations and tends to see even dangerous occurrences as a game, which can endanger herself quite a lot.
She isn't the best leader personality; if she even is one at all, but at least she likes to lead other people.
History: She is the oldest daughter of a family with a long history in the japanese entertainment industry. With her mother having been the leader of a national well known idol unit and her father being a talented actor, she always felt the pressure to enter the entertainment business herself someday. For that reason Himeko had gone through a hard training routine from a very young age on.
She wasn't forced to do so by her own parents. However, being raised surrounded by famous people, the young girl really came to love idols and eventually started wanting to become one herself from the bottom of her heart. But her dream shattered, as she wasn't able to even pass one of the auditions she tried out for. Furthermore, her younger sister Anju, handled as the next "idol-genius" in the media , was able to enter a pretty famous agency after just one tryout.
Having fallen in a deep depression because of that, Himeko had a phase in which she refused to do anything, except for spending her days locked in her room. But during that time an invitation from Chitoku Academy based on her talent reached her. Seeing it as chance for a new start (and eventually also for making her dream come true, after all), she decided to leave home to not bring any more shame on her family and chase her dreams from another perspective: not as the daughter of famous people, but as solely herself.
Other: Himeko is very fond of cocoa and could drink it the whole day if nobody stops her. She is living in Tokyo with her family but she has a grandmother in Sapporo (Hokkaido) where the winter is very fierce.
Himeko prefers staying at her grandmothers house during holidays because she was always fascinated by the snow and liked playing in it when she was younger. She also learned NaginatadÅ from her cousin during her stays in Sapporo at her grandmothers house.
Her sport club is the dance club; since in order to become an idol she had a lot of training before. Her cultural club is the school band, where she takes the position of a singer.
